DODA KERAMIKA is a small ceramic studio based in Rijeka, Croatia.

It has always been my dream. I have always had a love for ceramics, always looking and buying ceramic handmade pieces.

Few years ago I got the opportunity to take a ceramic course and try it out for myself.
I quickly found this to be a passion, working with clay made me feel so relaxed and excited so I started creating things at home too.
At that time I was working a full time job (I graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering) and used every spare minute to make my little colorful ceramic pieces.

Today creating ceramic pieces is my only job and I couldn't be more grateful for it.
Ceramics makes me happy and calm and I hope my creations will not only bring you joy but put a smile on your face.

At the moment, what I enjoy the most is creating unique jewelry pieces out of porcelain.

Every item is handmade and hand painted, without the use of molds.

After the piece is sculped and colored, it goes to the special ceramic and porcelain kiln for it’s first firing at 1000°C. When this is done, the item is then glazed and put in a special kiln for a second firing at an even higher temperature (1250°C).

If the item is decorated with genuine liquid gold, it has to be fired three times in a special kiln.

The process of making ceramic and porcelain jewelry takes a long time, but that makes every piece even more valuable and special.
